Human rights and labor standards
Acorn complies with national and international labor law and respects internationally recognized human rights as expressed in the International Bill of Human Rights

Many of our clients are located in emerging markets across rural areas and can involve intermediaries or third parties. This makes eradicating labor issues complicated; however, we constantly monitor and question our clients about this fundamental issue

We will not tolerate any form of child labor, forced or voluntary. We prefer to work with borrowers that provide basic medical, meals and social benefits to their employees
Supply Chain
Acorn operates in several supply chains where social and environmental challenges exist. While it is not always possible to control all origination sources or directly influence consumer demand when we offer financing solution, Acorn is committed to promoting sustainability with its  borrowers, service providers and team. During our meetings or due diligence visits we review and analyze the sustainability policies and standards of our clients

We also try and uphold the highest quality and safety standards of the products that we finance and try to ensure that they meet all legally required standards for consumers and safety
Environment
At Acorn we are committed to reducing our environmental impact and to help conserve natural resources. As we finance commodities, we review farmers, processors, service providers best practices to minimize impact on the planet. We work closely with our Ecosystem to develop awareness and understanding of environmental issues
